17 Surprising Reasons You're Stressed Out

Yesterday morning I happened to see the title of an article on my web browser. The title read, Seventeen Surprising Reasons You're Stressed Out. I didn't have to have either an ivory league education or baby grand piano fall on me to know that I didn't need to read the article. I am sure it was filled with worldly philosophy and humanistic cliches.

However, it did bring a couple of thoughts to this somewhat warped, yet still functioning brain of mine. I instantly thought of the seventeen surprising reasons that genuine Christians who are walking with the Lord by faith are stressed out. Allow me to present them to you this morning:

Oh. You're right! Each line is blank, there are no reasons for genuine believers to be stressed out!

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6, NKJV)

"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?" (Matthew 13:22, NKJV)

"And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind." (Luke 12:29, NKJV)

"...casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7, NKJV)

P. S. If these promises are missing from your Bible, chuck it, and obtain a copy that includes these promises. Then trust them! And trust Him!
